High spending Khanal Brothers FC have entered final of 6th suryanagar gold cup football tournament.

Khanal Brothers came back from a goal down to beat high flying Central College Bharatpur FC 3-1 in the first semifinal match played on Tuesday at Suryanagar mini stadium, Bardaghat, Nawalparasi.

Kshitiz Raj GT put Bharatpur FC ahead in the match but two goals from Bishwas Shrestha and a goal from Suman Lama ensured a hard fought 3-1 victory for Rupandehi based club.

Khanal Brothers played with Nepal internationals and A Division league players.

The score line could have been different hadn't Bharatpur goalie Manoj Gurung made two mistakes.

Two goal hero Bishwas Shrestha became the player of the match.

In the second semifinal match on Wednesday, Pharsatikar FC Rupandehi will play against Lekhnath United Kaski.

Sri Nawa yuwa club is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of NRs 5 lakh. Bardaghat municipality is the main promoter of the event.
