Jhapa football club has entered semifinals of open knockout football championship at Biratchowk, Morang.

Jhapa football club defeated APF Sunsari in sudden death on Sunday to enter last four.

Both teams played 1-1 draw in regulation time before inviting a spot kick battle.

Jhapa goalie Sanjaya Gurung became the player of the match.

Hosts Jharna yuwa club will play against Letang FC on Monday.

Jharna yuwa club is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of Nrs 1,01,111. Runners up team will get NRs 51,111.
