Indian giant Mohun Bagan has signed Nepal international Bimal Gharti Magar.
The club has issued a press release on Saturday evening. The deal is for three months and it will be extended upon mutual consent.
"With immense pleasure we wish to inform that we have roped Bimal Gharti Magar, a Nepalese national team player for the 17-18 season. The young Nepal prodigy had spent trials spells in some of the biggest Clubs in Europe, he was invited by Dutch side FC Twente for a 2 week trial, where he impressed all with his skills", the club said in a release.
His major stint came in March 2014 when he was given a Belgian visa to try his luck with Anderlecht FC, one of the big club of Belgium, while on trial Bimal represented Anderlecht U-16 side in three tournaments AEGON Future Cup, Ten Brinke Bouw Tournament, and the Nuenen Tournament.
On 8 June 2014 Magar penned a short contract with Anderlecht U-19. Bimal's first tournament with Anderlecht was the Copa del Agatha in St. Agatha,North Brabant, Netherlands. After scoring two goals, Bimal finished the tournament as a runner-up for RSC Anderlecht, losing 0–3 to Atletico Parananse in the final.
He is the youngest player to represent Nepal Senior National Team as he made his debut at the age of 14 against Bangladesh.
The player will be arriving to Kolkata tomorrow and will join training from Monday, January 29, 2018.
Monetary deal hasn't been revealed.
