News AFC Mourns On Passing Of Bolivian FF Prez Cesar Salinas

Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has sent his condolences to the South American football family on the demise of Bolivian Football Federation (FBF) President Cesar Salinas who passed away at the age of 58 on Sunday.

The AFC President said: “On behalf of the Asian football family, I would like to express my deepest condolences and sympathies to the Bolivian and CONMEBOL football family on the passing of Cesar Salinas.

“The COVID-19 pandemic is the toughest health crisis in modern history and the world of football mourns the loss of a true servant who has spent a lifetime of dedication towards the development of the game,” added Shaikh Salman.

Salinas was a director of The Strongest in La Paz, one of the oldest and most established institutions in Bolivian football history before taking helm as President of FBF in 2018 and also served as an Executive Member of CONMEBOL.

The thoughts and prayers of the AFC and the rest of the Asian football community are with the family and friends of Salinas, the Bolivian Football Federation and the South American football community during this difficult time.
