Hosts Kummayak rural municipality has entered semifinals of 3rd Kummayak gold cup football tournament.

Kummayak defeated Tumbeba rural municipality 3-2 in the quarterfinal match played on Wednesday.

Rajesh Thapa put Tumbeba ahead in the match in 19th minute. Dipsan Lawati leveled the score for hosts in 29th minute.

Dipsan again struck in 19th minute of second half and Lokendra Thapa extended the lead in 29th minute.

Tumbeba tried their best to come back to the game and also cut the deficit in 34th minute bu that was not sufficient to overcome the loss.

Two goal hero Dipsan Lawati became the player of the match and received Nrs 3,000 cash.

Kummayak sporting club is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of Nrs 1,11,111.

Kummayak rural municipality is the main supporter of the event. Municipalities and rural municipalities from Panchthar are taking part in the event.
