7th late Ranjit Gurung memorial Bagar Bhai khalak 8-A-Side veterans cup got underway on Tuesday in Pokhara.

Freedom Fighter Kathmandu defeated Butwal Soceity 1-0 in the opening match. Bijaya Gurung became the man of the match.

In the second match, Butwal Veterans defeated Hemja Veterans 3-1. Sanjaya Shrestha scored a brace while Sher Bahadur Gurung scored another for the winners. Santama Shrestha scored a consolation goal for Hemja. Sanjaya Shrestha became the man of the match.

ABC Pokhara defeated hosts Bagar Bhai Khalak 5-2 in the last match of the match. Sanjaya Gurung scored hat trick for the winners. He became the man of the match.

The championship has a winning purse of Rs 1 lakh while runners up team will get Rs 50,000.
