FIFA president Gianni Infantino and Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President, hav arrived in Kolkata, India to attend the FIFA Council meeting on Friday and FIFA U-17 World Cup final on Saturday between Spain and England.
The agenda for the FIFA Council Meeting includes preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia draw in Moscow in December, the calendar of FIFA competitions, FIFA strategies for age-groups, Women and Club competitions, and the criteria for bidding to host the 2026 World Cup.
The Council Meeting will also discuss reports from FIFA committees, FIFA Bureau of the Council recommendations concerning several Member Associations, the future vision of the international matches calendar, players transfer system and video technology (VAR).
Shaikh Salman will also meet several football leaders to discuss the latest developments in world football and possible cooperation to reach common goals to develop the game.
