Thakur Bahadur Susling has been elected the president of Sarlahi district.

Susling defeated Rajkumar Mainali by 9-4 votes to be elected the president through assembly on Monday. He has become the youngest district president with just 35 years of age.

Meanwhile, the central representative Praladh Shah didn't turn up in the assembly.

"He instructed us to conduct the election. But he didn't turn up. We repeatedely called him but he switched off his phone", one official told GoalNepal.

The losing candidate is now claiming that the election is illegal.

Thirteen clubs took part in the election.

45 ANFA affiliated districts are conducting election as per circular from central ANFA.

ANFA is holding central level election on March 28, 2018.
