1st Birtamod Gold Cup: Panchayan FC Defeats Hosts Red Star FC To Enter Final

Panchayan FC will meet Purbeli Youth Club in the final of 1st Birtamod Gold Cup. 

In the second semifinal match played at Domalal Rajbanshi memorial ground on Sunday, Panchayan FC, Sunsari beat hosts Red Star FC 4-2 on penalties.

The teams played 1-1 draw in the 70-minute stipulated time forcing the match to spot-kick battle. Tirtha Basnet scored the opener for Panchayan in the 18th minute of second half. Nine minutes later, Sanjog Rai levelled the score.

Panchayan FC goalie Abhisekh Khadka was declared the man of the match. He was awarded with Rs.3,000. 

Final match is scheduled on Jestha 28.

The championship has a winning purse of Nrs 1,51,111.
