Purbeli Youth FC has moved to the semifinals of 1st Birtamod Gold Cup.

In the third quarterfinal match played at Domalal Rajbanshi memorial ground, Birtamod, Jhapa on Thursday, Purbeli Youth FC defeated Munal Club 5-2.

Bikash Budathoki struck a brace in the 17th minute and 31st minute making the scoreline 2-0 up for Purbeli till the half time.

Ashish Chapagain trippled the lead in the 52nd minute. Shyam Murma B pulled down one in the 54th minute. Munal Club scored another goal through Pema in the 72nd minute for Munal but that was enough to stop Purbeli.

Goal scorer Ashish Chapgain was announced the man of the match. He was awarded with Rs.3,000.

Hosts Red Star FC will take on Triveni Youth Club, Ilam in the last quarterfinal match on Friday. 

Champions will bag Nrs 1,51,111 while runners up will take away Rs.75,111.
