Nepal coach Johan Kalin said his players couldn't perform as his expectation and admitted he was shocked with the result.

Nepal suffered 2-0 loss at the hands of Malaysia in a friendly match played at Bukit Jalil stadium on Sunday night.

Team Nepal faltered completely as they could make very few shots on attempt during the match. Malaysia also enjoyed more than 75% of ball possession.

Speaking in the post match, coach Kalin said, "I am shocked with the result. My boys couldn't play their game in starting minutes. Even we didn't find it easy to play in the ground (natural turf)".

Nepal trains at an artificual turf as there is no proper grassfield in Kathmandu.

"Malaysia really played well and they were stronger side. Hopefully, we can improve our mistakes in next friendly match", coach Kalin added.

Nepal will now play against Chinese Taipei on June 6.
