News 8th National Games: Nepal Army, Nepal APF, Far West & Province 5 Register Win

Nepal Army, Nepal APF and province 5 have won their respective matches in 8th national games held today in Khajura Banke and Butwal, Rupandehi.

Province number 5 defeated Gandaki province 2-1 in first match played at Khajura, Banke. Binod KC (36') and Roshan Sen (71') scored apiece for the winners. Tikraj Gurung scored in 26th minute for Gandaki.

Nepal APF defeated province 1 6-3 in the second match of the day.

Aashish Lama (19' & 28') and Pradip Lama (39' & 58') while Buddhiman Rai (52') and Santosh Shrestha (75') scored apiece for Nepal APF.

Tipsan Rai (4'), Ram Tamang (69') and Bidur Rijal (79') scored apiece for province 1.

Elsewhere at ANFA technical centre, Far West province defeated Karnali province 3-0. In the second match, Nepal Army defeated province number 2 5-0.

10 teams are divided into two groups. After round robin matches, two teams from each group will progress to semifinals.

In women's football played at Lamhi, Dang, province number 2 defeated Far West province 4-0. Nikita Thokar scored a brace while Rajina Thokar and Roshani Limbu scored apiece for the winners.

Nepal Police defeated province number 2 4-0. Amrita Jaishi and Nirmala BK scored brace each.

Nepal APF defeated province 1 6-0. Sabitra Bhandari scored hat trick in APF's emphatic win.
