Hosts Far West Pashupati Club and Far West XI ‘A’ have successfully reached the semifinals of the third edition of Far West Pashupati Cup Football competition in Dhangadi.

Both teams won their game on Tuesday to book a place in semifinals of the competition.

Far West XI ‘A’ will now face PFA Attariya and host Far West Pashupati Club will play against New Buddha Youth Club for the place in finals.

In the first match played today at Dhangadi, Far West XI defeated Sports School Football Academy of Dang 1-0 in a very competitive game. Defender Chetan Tharu scored the only goal of the game in a corner through header to take his side to the last four. He was adjudged the Man of the Match for his performance.

In the second match of the day and the last quarterfinal, hosts Far West Pashupati defeated team ‘B’ of Far West XI 1-0. The hosts entered the pitch with foreign players and it was the foreign player Issac who scored the winning goal. He became the Man of the Match.

Semifinal matches will take place from tomorrow. Tomorrow’s match will be between PFA Attariya and Far West XI ‘A’, while the other semifinal will be on Thursday between host Far West Pashupati and New Buddha Youth Club.
