Sainik clinched the title of 1st Begnas 7-A-Side Championship on Monday defeating Four Two Five 3-0 in the final match played at the bank of Begnas Lake on Monday.

The match ended at goalless draw in the first half. Tridev Gurung scored the opener in the early minutes of second half. Bel Prasad Gurung doubled the lead utilizing pass from skipper Bhison Gurung. Tridev Gurung scored another goal for his team to make the scoreline 3-0.

Mero Nepal Youth Club, Majheripatan beat hosts Begnas 3-2 on penalties to finish third.

Winners bagged Rs.1,55,555, runners-up team got Rs.55,555 and third placed team received Rs.15,555.

Pradip Gurung was declared the man of the match.

Tridev Gurung of Sainik was adjudged the MVP of the tournament. Four Two Five defender Ravi Thapa Magar got the best defender award, Bijay Shrestha of Four Two Five was rated the best playmaker of the tournament, Sainik goalkeeper Roman Thapa Magar was announced the best goalkeeper and Nepal Muslim FC's Avinash Tamang got the highest goal scorer award. Shrijana Deaf Team got the fair play award.
