News Dhangadi: Far Western XI Into The QFs Of 3rd Farwest Pashupati Cup

Both the Far Western teams, A and B, have entered into the quarter finals of the 3rd Galaxy Public School Far West Pashupati Cup. Team A won the game by 4-0 and team B won by 5-0 margin.

Far Western A hammered Nepal Police Province Number 7 4-0 at Dhanghadi Stadium on Saturday. Jeevan Chaudhary scored the opener for Team A in the 53rd minute. Binod KC struck twice in the 55th minute and 65th minute. Ram Singh Rana scored apiece in the 71st minute.

Two goal hero Binod KC was announced the man of the match.

In the post match conference, Far Western XI Team A Coach Lalit Chand said, "There was lack of coordination among my boys due to lack of four regular players in the team. We could register an easy win with the change in strategy in second half."

Nepal Police Province 7 coach Surendra Bam reasoned that the lack of coordination in his team and pressure to score goals in the second half were the causes behind the loss.

In the second match of the day, Team B of Far Western registered huge 5-0 win over Pashupati Screamers. Rajiv Chaudhary scored a superb hattrick for the winning side. Hikmat Khatri provided lead to the team in the early 4th minute. Rupesh Chaudhary doubled the lead in the 21st minute. Rajiv Chaudhary completed hat-trick as he scored in the 44th minute, 47th minute and 65th minute. Chaudhary was named man of the match for his hattrick.

Far Western Team B coach Suresh Hamal seemed happy with his boys' performance. He said, "My boys played as per my expectation. We could won the match because U18 boys had a good combination."

Pashupati Screamers coach Amit Jairu expressed his happiness that his team got the opportunity to play
in a big tournament for the first time. He said that they had to play under pressure because they had conceded an early goal."

Far West Pashupati Yuva Club is organizing the tournament that has a winning purse of five lakh rupees.

On Sunday, Sports School Football Academy, Dang will take on Hasanpur Yuva Club in the first match and Mangal Yuva Club, Chaumala will face New Buddha Yuwa Club, Fulbari in another match.
