Jhapa: Kankai Wins The Title Of Women's Championship

Kankai women's team clinched the title of Women's Championship defeating Mount Everest sporting club, Sunsari 1-0 in the final at Kakarvitta, Mechinagar, Jhapa on Friday.

Kamana Rai scored the decisive goal for Champions in the 18th minute.

She was declared the woman of the match.

Kankai players bagged best players in all category.

Laxmi Yogi, Sushmita Lepcha, Chatrika Chaudhary, Ganga Rai was adjudged the best defender, the best forward, the best goalkeeper and the best player of the tournament respectively.

The winning team got Nrs 40,000 while runners up team received Nrs 20,000. Final match will be played on February 21.
