Star Striker Sabitra Bhandari Suffers Calf Injury

Nepal star striker Sabitra Bhandari has suffered calf injury during Iran match in Hero women’s cup.   

Bhandari scored a brace while Anita Basnet scored another as Nepal defeated higher ranked Iran 3-0 to enter finals of the championship.   

Bhandari was injured but she pushed her limits to remain in the field and helped the team to win the match.  

“It is paining a lot. But I am sure I will be ready for the final match (on Feb 15)”, said Bhandari.   

“I am doing icing as per instruction from Manisha sister (physio) and Bibek dai (athletic trainer). We are also going to clinic for USG”, said Bhandari.
