News A Division League Fixtures Released; NRT Will Play Against Nepal Army In The Opener

Martyr Memorial A Division League fixtures have been released today, in a press conference organized by ANFA at Satdobato in ANFA Complex.

The league is scheduled to begin from 13th of Ashoj and New Road Team (NRT) will be playing against Tribhuwan Army
Club in the opening game on the very date at 3pm, at Satdobato’s ANFA complex.

All the fixtures till 13th round were released on Wednesday and all the representative of the 14 clubs were present in the press conference.

The Brigade Boys Club will play with Manang Marsyangdi Club in the first match on the next day. In the second game of the day Machindra will face Chyasal Youth Club at Halchowk ground. Three Star will play against Friend’s Club on 15 th first match and Nepal Police will play against Jawalakhel in second match of the day. The Himalayan Sherpa Club will play on ANFA Complex Ground with Armed Police Force on 16 th of Ashoj and Saraswati Youth Club will face the Sankata Club in the Halchowk.

There’s a two day gap after finishing the first round of games and the league will continue from 19 th when Manang will take on NRT and Tribhuwan Army will play against Chyasal Youth Club. Brigade Boys will play against Three Star on 20th and Nepal Police will play against Machindra on the same day.

Friend’s Club against APF, Himalayan Sherpa against Saraswati and Jawalakhel against Sankata will wrap up the second round fixtures.

The third round fixtures will be played from 24 th of Ashoj and after the completion of third round of games, there will be a break for festivals and league will continue from 2nd of Mangsir.

The 14 Division Clubs in the League include Three Star, Manang Marsyangdi, Nepal Police, APF, Army, Jawalakhel Youth Club, Friends Club, Sankata, Machindra Club, Saraswati Youth Club, Chyasal Youth Club, New Road Team (NRT), Brigade Boys and Himalayan Sherpa Club.

Total 91 games will be played on the basis of Round Robin League. The winner of the League will get 5 million rupees; the winners will get 3.5 million, and 2.5 million for third. The fourth team will get 1.5 million, fifth team will get 7 lakh and sixth will get 5 lakh.

The Fair Play Team will get one lakh rupees. ANFA will give Rs 50,000 to the winning team of each game and Rs 10,000 to the Man of the match player.

League director Sanjiv Mishra told the League winner will be able to participate in the AFC Cup qualifiers. The A division league is being conducted after four years. Last time, A Division League was in the year 2071.
