Bangladesh football federation is doing their best in preparing the team for upcoming Asian Games 2018 and SAFF Championship 2018.

On Saturday, men's team left Dhaka for Qatar for a conditioning camp.

After their return from Qatar, the national team will fly out for South Korea for a 12-day training camp and two practice matches before heading off to Jakarta to take part in the Asian Games, The Daily Star reported.

Meanwhile, newly appointed coach Day said they would do well in SAFF Championship not in Asian games.

“I think we have to be realistic. If you look at our group in the Asian Games, it's a tough one but I think it will be good for the boys to go up against strong oppositions and hopefully the work we have done in the previous weeks, leading up to the tournament, will come to good use.

“Also as I said before, we will pick the squad for the SAFF Championship after some of the other boys come back. If the boys play according to the tactics we will set and if everyone, including the coaching staff, works hard then we can reach our goal and do well in the SAFF Championship,” said Day, who said his favoured style of play is attacking football by keeping the defence solid.
