News 4th Mai Valley Gold Cup: APF Triumps Over Defending Champions Jhapa XI

Nepal Armed Police Force(APF) maintained 2-1 win over Jhapa XI in the second quarterfinal match of 4th Mai Valley Gold Cup at Thulo Tudikhel, Ilam on Tuesday to make way through semifinals.

Yubraj Khadka scored the decisive goal in the 65th minute for APF. Nabin Lama had provided lead to APF in the 54th minute. But two minutes later, Bhusan Subba scored the equalizer.



Goal scorer Nabin Lama was declared the man of the match. He was awarded with Rs.10,000.

APF starting XI: Raju Nagarkoti(GK), Aditya Chaudhary, Sudip Shikhrakar, Biswas Udash, Rajan Gurung, Nabin Lama(C), Shyam Nepali, Rup Bahadur Lama, Ram Kumar Kumal, Ranjan Bista, Yubraj Khadka.

Jhapa XI: Kiran Chemjong(GK),Karna Limbu(C), Devendra Tamang, Niroj Basnet, Dilan Loktam, Bhusan Subba, Pujan Uperkoti, Hemant Thapa Magar, Khamir Gilson Kandangwa,Bishal Rai, Ashish Chapagain.

APF will next play against the winner of NPC Vs Three Star Club on Baisakh 13.

United Sikkim FC will take on Nepal Army Club in the third quarterfinal match tomorrow.
