Arjundhara 6 and 8 wards have entered the semi-finals of the third U-18 ward-level football tournament organized by Shanishchare FC Arjundhara Jhapa.

In the third quarter-final match held today at the playground located at Arjundhara 7, 6th ward entered the semi-finals by defeating 9th ward by 6-3 goals in sudden death.

The previous winner 6th ward had drawn 2-2 goals with 9th ward in the regular time. Sahil Tamang scored for 6th ward, while Prabhushan Rai scored both goals for 9th ward.

Similarly, in the last quarter-final match, Arjundhara 8th ward defeated 5th ward by 4-2 goals in the tiebreaker and secured a place in the last four.

The winner of the first edition, 8th ward, played a goalless draw with 5th ward in the regular time. A tiebreaker was chosen directly to decide the match.

The player of the match in both matches was the goalkeeper. Anil Danuwar for No. 6 and Dipesh Chaudhary for No. 8 were awarded the Player of the Match and received a cash prize of Rs. 1,000. Tomorrow, Arjundhara 6 will compete with Arjundhara 1 in the first semi-final match.

Teams from 11 wards within the municipality are participating in the competition. The winner and runner-up teams of the competition will receive a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 30,000 respectively, along with trophies.
