Basnet, who hails from the vibrant Nepali-Bhutanese community, is poised to make his mark on the grand stage when the tournament kicks off on March 29 in Kathmandu.
Jhapa FC’s General Secretary, Sujan Gautam, expressed excitement about welcoming Basnet to the squad, emphasizing the significance of the player's roots and the potential he brings to the team. “Pravin is a talented player, and we believe he will add great value to our squad in the Nepal Super League,” Gautam said.
The Nepali-speaking Bhutanese community, with strong ties to both Nepal and the USA, is thrilled about Basnet's involvement in the tournament.
Sonam Lama, President of Shangrilla FC in the USA, expressed the community's collective pride, stating, “We are excited to see Pravin play for Jhapa FC, and our community will fully support the team throughout the tournament.”
