Nepal's star forward, Sabitra Bhandari, known as "Samba," is determined to bring joy to the Nepalese people by winning the SAFF Championship title.

As the team prepares for the final against Bangladesh, Samba acknowledges the strength of their opponents but remains optimistic about Nepal's chances, especially with the support of local fans.

"In the past, we've settled for being runners-up, but we've learned from our defeats. This time, we will enter the match focused on lifting the trophy," Samba stated, highlighting the team's commitment to changing their fortunes.

Samba also has the opportunity to set a new scoring record in the final. By equalizing against India in the semi-finals, she matched the record of former captain Anu Lama for the most goals scored by a Nepali player in the SAFF Championship, totaling 21 goals. Scoring in today's match would allow her to break that record, adding further motivation as she steps onto the field.

With Samba leading the charge, Nepal is poised to make history in their quest for the championship title.
