As the SAFF Women's Championship approaches, Nepali team captain Anjila Tumbapo Subba expressed confidence in her squad’s abilities, highlighting the balanced nature of the team.
“All the teams have worked hard; we have also worked hard,” she stated. “We will play to become champions, and we will try to keep the trophy at home.” said Subba in a pre-match conference on Wednesday.
The tournament will take place at the Dasharath Rangshala in Tripureshwar, where all matches will be held.
The seven participating teams are divided into two groups: Group A features India, Pakistan, and defending champions Bangladesh, while Group B includes host Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka & Maldives.
With the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals, the stakes are high. Anjila's leadership and determination will be crucial as Nepal aims to make a strong showing on home soil and capture the championship title for the first time.
