Tikaram Lama has been elected the president of Makwanpur district football association unanimously.

The election was held today in Hetauda.

Rajkumar Shrestha, Subin Ghimire and Ajay Manandhar were elected as VPs.

Following court’s decision, ANFA had asked Makwanpur to hold election again by Chaitra 24.

Lama had earlier been elected the president but ANFA didn’t approve the election as it was done without central representative.

Another district, Bhaktapur - which had moved to court that hampered ANFA election - will hold election soon.

ANFA will announce fresh date for the central election after Bhaktapur will elect new leadership.

Former ANFA VP Karma Tsering Sherpa and current VP Mani Kunwar are vying for the post.
