Finland: Mirmire Sporting Club Defends the Title
Mirmire Sporting Club has once again proven its dominance, successfully defending its title as champions of Helsinki for the second consecutive year. The club clinched victory in the prestigious "FC Gaule Football Tournament 2024," held in Helsinki on Saturday.
In a thrilling final match at Brahe Kenttä, Mirmire Sporting Club showcased their strength and strategy, comfortably defeating Laliguras FC with a 2-0 victory. The goals were scored by Sudip Panday and Bigyan Kharel, each contributing to the club's triumphant performance.
The road to the final was not without its challenges. In the semi-final clash against Himalayan SC, Mirmire displayed remarkable resilience. Despite trailing 2-1, they staged an outstanding comeback, eventually winning 4-2 in added time.
Mirmire's success was further highlighted by individual accolades. Sudip Panday was named the Best Player of the Tournament and also secured the title of Highest Goal Scorer with an impressive 11 goals. Panday's consistent performance across all six matches was instrumental in leading Mirmire's attack.
