Siraha's Salhesh Youth Club has entered the semi-finals of the Taplejung Gold Cup, an international invitational held in Fungling, Taplejung.
Siraha defeated Panchthar Football Club 1-0 in the second quarter-final match of the second edition and secured a place in the last four.
Jai Gurung's goal was decisive for Siraha. He scored in the 41st minute of the first half.
Siraha's goal scorer Gurung, who scored a narrow victory, managed to get 5,000 cash as the man of the match. Similarly, Rhythm Limbu from the audience got a ball as fan of the match.
Sangharsh Sporting Youth Club Taplejung has entered the semi-finals after defeating Kanchenjunga FC Siliguri India in the opening match on Monday.
The winner of the competition, which will be completed on August 10, will get a trophy with 5 lakh rupees and the runner-up will get 2 lakh 50 thousand 555 rupees.
In the third quarter-final match on Wednesday, Sagarmatha Youth Club of Morang and NSL club Bootball Lumbini FC will compete.
