
Junior Football Club, Lakhantari, Morang has become the last team to enter the semi-finals of the first Budhiganga Monsoon Cup Knockout Football Tournament held here.
In the fourth and final quarter-final held on Tuesday, Junior defeated Green City Football Club, Banarjhula, Morang by 1 goal against Zero and became the last team to enter the final four.
Bimal Bik scored the only decisive goal for the juniors in the game. Junior goalkeeper Shahil Tapdar was declared the man of the match.
Under the competition, the first semi-final match on Wednesday 23rd Shrawan will be played between Shanti Yuva Sporting Club, Itahari and Golden Star Youth Club, Bhaluwa (Junior), the organizers informed.
The winner of the competition, which will run until 26th of Shrawan, will receive 25,000 in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 15,000.
