Birtamod United FC and Bahundangi FC have been promoted to Jhapa district level A division club.
They climbed the list of A Division clubs by winning the two semi-final matches held on Monday at the Arjundhara 9 Model Stadium.
In the first semi-final match, Bahundangi defeated Sirijanga Sporting Club in sudden death. A tiebreaker was chosen after both teams played a goalless draw at the scheduled time of the game.
However, in sudden death, Bahundangi beat Sirijanga by 8-7 and advanced to the A division. Along with this, Bahundangi has also scheduled the final journey.
In the second semi-final match, Birthamod defeated Satasidham Sporting Club by a goal difference and secured a place in the A Division. Birtamod defeated Satasidham 3-2 to get recognition as an A Division club.
Bhagirath Ale Mama, President of Jhapa District Football Association, informed that the matches of both the teams that have reached the final and the A Division and B Division League football competition will end on Wednesday.
