
Itahari Football Club, Sunsari has won the title of the 3rd Sonapur Gold Cup Knockout Football Tournament.
Duhbi-8, Sonapur, Bishnu Mavi Stadium, Itahari defeated the host Memory Youth Club, Sonapur 4-1 in the final and became the champion.
Itahari, who became the winner, received 211,000 cash including the title, while the runner-up organizer Memory got 155,000 and a trophy, medal and certificate.
Memory's Ashok Khawas was selected as the Man of the Match for the final match. He received 3100 cash and a trophy for the award.
In other categories, Lokesh Choudhary of Itahari, the best goalkeeper, was also selected as the best defender on the entry day of Itahari. The best midfielder was also won by Umesh Karki of Ithari.
Bimal Magar of Itahari became the best coach and Bibek Mishra of Ayojal Memory became the emerging player. Itahri's Song won the top scorer award. All the best in the individual category received a cash prize of Rs 5,000 and a trophy.
Similarly, Nitesh Shrestha of the organizer Memory was declared the best player of the tournament. He received 7,000 cash and a trophy for the award.
