Birat Gold Cup 2074 got underway at Sahid Maidan, Biratnagar on Saturday.

Sher Dhan Rai, Chief minister of Province number 1, inaugurated the tournament.

Rijalco Morang XI ousted Thimpu FC, Bhutan 2-0 in the opener of the tournament.

Birat Gold Cup trust is organizing the tournament, which has a winning purse of Rs 12,71,000.

Ten teams are participating in the championship.

Final match is scheduled on Chaitra 26.
