Farwest Pashupati Youth Club has entered the finals of the ongoing 4th Gouriganga Gold Cup National Knockout Football Tournament.
In the second semi-final held on Tuesday, Farwest Pashupati defeated the host Gauriganga-11 Sports Club in a tiebreaker and managed to enter the final.
Before that, both the teams played a goalless draw in the scheduled match at Gauriganga Stadium. In the tiebreaker, Farwest Pashupati won 3-1 over the home team and secured the final spot. Farwest Pashupati's goalkeeper Amanat Sheikh was declared man of the match.
Farwest Pashupati will now compete with Star City Boys Union Club for the title in the final on 1st of Chaitra.
The winner of the tournament organized by Gauriganga-11 Sports Club, Gauriganga-8, Kailali will get 6 lakhs in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will get 3 lakhs.
