Farwest Sports Club has entered the semi-finals of the ongoing 4th Gauriganga Gold Cup National Knockout Football Tournament in Kailali.
In the quarterfinals on Saturday, Farwest Sports defeated Sudurpaschim-11 in a tiebreaker and entered the last four.
Before that, both the teams played an exciting draw of 2-2 goals in the competitive match of the scheduled time. Abhishek Mahato and Ashish Shrestha scored goals for Farwest Sports in the scheduled time match at Gauriganga Stadium. Similarly, Sagar Choudhary scored one goal for Sudurpaschim and one more goal was scored by Ashish Shrestha of Farwest Sports as a suicide goal.
In the tiebreaker, Farvost Sports managed to win 5-4 over Sudurpaschim. Ziarath Sheikh of Farwest Sports was declared the man of the match in the match. Under the competition, the quarterfinal match on Sunday will be between Raniban and Farwest Pashupati Club, the organizers informed.
The winner of the tournament organized by Gauriganga-11 Sports Club, Gauriganga-8, Kailali will get 6 lakhs in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will get 3 lakhs. The final match will be held on the 1st of Chaitra.
