Malaysia Football Association has confirmed a friendly encounter with Nepal on March 15 in Kuala Lumpur.

Under the stewardship of Kim Pan Gon, the Malayan Tiger Squad has commenced their central training camp at Wisma FAM, Kelana Jaya. Their focus is set on the upcoming 2026/Asia Cup 2027 Qualifier matches against Oman, scheduled for March 21 and 26.

Leading Group D with a perfect six-point record, Malaysia secured victories over Republic of Kyrgyz (4-3) and Chinese Taipei (1-0) on November 16 and 21, 2023, respectively, at the National Stadium, Bukit Jalil.

Next up for the Malayan Tiger squad is a trip to Muscat to face Oman on March 21, followed by a home fixture against Oman at the National Stadium, Bukit Jalil on March 26, 2024.

In their preparation for these crucial encounters, Malaysia will engage in a practice match against Nepal on March 15. ANFA however hasn't confirmed the tie.

Meanwhile, Nepal is gearing up for matches against Bahrain on March 21 and 27, likely to take place in Bahrain.
