News Tribhuwan Army FC Enters Final Of 4th Wai-Wai Panchthar Gold Cup

Tribhuvan Army Football Club has entered final of 4th Pachthar gold cup football tournament.

In the last semi-final of the 4th Panchthar Gold Cup in Phidim, Army proved to be lucky in the tie breaker against Jhapa. At the scheduled time of today's match, both teams played a 1-1 draw. Army is the winning team when they met 4 times in the finals of Jhapa Gold Cup. Jhapa, which has reached the final five times, has not been able to defeat Army. In the second half of the Panther Gold Cup, Army's Deep Lama took the lead by scoring a goal.

Deep Lama, who entered the field in the interval, scored a goal in 3rd of the second half. Pradip Budhathoki scored through penalty for Jhapa's equalizing goal. Jhapa got a penalty in the 17th minute of the second half. Even though the match was tied, Jhapa's tie breaker shot was poor. Finally, Army won the tiebreaker by 3-0 and entered the finals.

Jhapa captain Pema Tamang's shot went off the crossbar while Bishal Tamang's shot went in on the side pole. Similarly, Rojin Majhi's shot was stopped by Naveen Pariyar, the goalkeeper of Army. Deep Lama, Santosh KC and Man Bahadur Ale's shots turned into goals for Army.

Army's Deep Lama became man of the match and managed to get 5000 in cash.

Army will now compete for the title against host Panchthar Club in the final match on Falgun 19. The winner of the competition will receive a trophy of Rs 5 lakh 5 thousand and the second runner up will get Rs 2 lakh 55 thousand.
