The Arjundhara-based Shanishre Football Club, the reigning champion of the Jhapa District Football League, once again showcased their prowess by securing the championship title in the inaugural Lakshmidhap District Level Football Tournament.

The tournament, held at the Laxmi Dhap grounds in Arjundhara 11, witnessed a splendid performance from Shanishre as they clinched a resounding victory over their counterparts, New Star Club Khopbadi (Birtamod). From the very outset, Shanishre had been under significant pressure to defend their title, and they did so admirably by defeating New Star with an impressive 4-0 scoreline.

In the highly competitive final match, both teams remained goalless in the first half, but Shanishre unleashed an onslaught of goals in the second half. Nima Tamang was the star of the final game, netting the opening goal for Shanishure in the 41st minute and achieving a remarkable hat-trick with additional goals in the 62nd and 63rd minutes. Pujan Rai contributed to the scoreline with a goal in the 61st minute. Nima, Pujan, and Devendra Tamang emerged as top scorers for Shanishure, each having scored four goals earlier in the tournament. In the final match, a total of seven goals were scored, with Nima's hat-trick standing out. Roman Bhujel of New Star had been a strong contender for the top scorer title, having scored four goals in two previous matches, but he was unable to find the net in the final. It's worth noting that Shanishure had previously defeated the hosts 7-3 in the opening match and triumphed over Satasidham Sporting Club 6-1 in the semi-final, earning their place in the finals.

Nima, the top scorer, was awarded a cash prize of 3,000 and also received the Man of the Match title in the final. The tournament's organizers presented him with an additional cash prize of 2,500. Debendra Tamang was honored as the tournament's best player. The accolades extended to Anup Tamang of Shanishchare as the best goalkeeper, Pema Tamang as the best defender, Sougat Gomden Tamang as the best midfielder, and Tusar Shrestha as the best coach, all representing Shanishchare. The emerging player recognition was bestowed upon the host team's Siddharth Limbu, while New Star's Roman Bhujel was acknowledged as the best forward. Debendra Tamang, the tournament's best player, received a substantial cash prize of 5,000, while other category winners were each granted 3,000. The championship organized by the Lakshmidhap Sports Club of Arjundhara 11 awarded the winning team 51,000 in cash, while the runner-up, New Star, settled for 31,000.
