Renowned forward of the Nepali national women's football team, Sabitra Bhandari, has successfully made her way back to Nepal after a turmoil in Israel.

Sabitra, who had been plying her trade as a professional footballer with Hapoel Ra'anana in Israel's premier women's league, had been residing in a secure location in the Rohwar region, following the outbreak of hostilities between the rebel group Hamas and Israel.

Despite the challenging circumstances, concerted efforts to repatriate Sabitra to Nepal persisted, ultimately resulting in her return to her home country.

Upon her arrival at the airport, Sabitra received a warm welcome from representatives of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), including spokesperson Suresh Shah and other officials.

Expressing her joy at being safely back in Nepal, Sabitra extended her heartfelt gratitude to all those who had contributed to her return.
