Following Saudi Arabia's recent proposal to FIFA to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, the global football community is abuzz with discussions on this development.
Last week, Saudi Arabia officially presented its bid to FIFA, the world football governing body, to host the world's most prestigious football tournament.
The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has thrown its support behind Saudi Arabia's bid. ANFA highlighted the special and robust relationship between Saudi Arabia and Nepal as a key reason for their endorsement of Saudi Arabia as a potential host for the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
It's worth noting that just last year, another Asian nation, Qatar, successfully hosted the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup, marking the first-ever winter World Cup in history. Saudi Arabia has indicated its willingness to host the World Cup during the traditional summer months, aligning with previous editions.
Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the president of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), has also expressed support for Saudi Arabia's proposal to host the tournament.
Furthermore, Saudi Arabia's bid has garnered backing from several other FIFA member countries, including the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Panama, and the Philippines, adding momentum to the campaign for Saudi Arabia to secure the hosting rights for the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
