Nepal is playing for pride against Yemen in AFC Asian Cup 2019 qualification on Tuesday.

Yemen are still in the race - with seven points- to go to UAE. They will advance to the AFC Asian Cup for the first time since the country's unification if they beat Nepal in Group F on Tuesday.

Nepal have already crashed out from the qualifiers and are placed in rock bottom in the group. Yemen, Tajikistan, Philippines and Nepal are in the group.

When Nepal hosted Yemen at Halchowk ground last year, Nepal played fantastic game (0-0 draw). Yemen coach Mebrautu had commented that his team was lucky not to loose the match.

Doha, Qatar is second home to Nepalese football as there are hundred of thousands of Nepalese expats. Large number of Nepalese football fans will turn up to watch the match. And Nepal will be playing for a win as they have nothing to lose. That will certainly make numbers of fans happy there and back home.

Injury woes
Seven players that were in the squad against Yemen in first leg are not in current squad. Anil Gurung has retired, Bharat Khawas is suspended, Bikram Lama is recuperating from leg surgery, Jitendra Karki, Rajendra Rawal and Kamal Shrestha are injured and Bishal Shrestha is not included in the team.

Winless streak
Nepal haven't won a single match after Noveber 15, 2016. Nepal had defeated Macao 1-0 in the final to lift AFC Solidarity Cup in Kuching, Malaysia.

SAFF Prep
ANFA recently extended contract with Japanese coach Koji. He has already mentioned that his main target is to win SAFF championship. This match could be the build up for the most waited competition for Nepalese fans.
