Gorkha Boys Club, Rupandehi secured semifinal berth defeating Banepa Boys Club, Banepa 4-2 on penalties in the second quarterfinal match of 4th Katari gold cup played at Katari, Udayapur on Sunday.

The teams played 2-2 draw in the regulation time to push the match to spot-kick battle.

Gorkha Boys goalie Dilip Chhetri was declared the man of the match. He received Rs 5,000 cash.

Saraswati Youth Club will meet Jhapa XI in the third quarterfinal match on Monday.

Saathi Samuha is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 5 lakh.
