2nd Sonapur gold cup football tournament got underway on Saturday at Sonapur, Sunsari.

Damak football academy, Jhapa defeated Purbanchal United Club 1-0 to enter semifinals.

Sanjay Dhimal scored the match winning goal and became the player of the match. He received Ns 2500 cash.

Basaha Eleven will play against Itaharu FC on Sunday.

Earlier, Duhabi mayor Bed Narayan Gachhadar inaugurated the tournament.
