Kathmandu (GoalNepal) - Nepal have gone one step closer to the SAFF U-15 Women's Championship title. Nepal defeated Bhutan 1-0 on Wednesday at the BSSS Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Dhaka to move closer to the title.

Senu Pariyar scored the game's only goal for Nepal in the 48th minute. Nepal couldn't replicate the performance against Bhutan earlier in the tournament, however, Nepal came away with all three points to keep the sent percent record in tact.

Nepal will only need a draw against Bangladesh in the final match of the tournament to lift the title. The match will be played on November 11.

The tournament is being played in a double round-robin format. The team at the top of the table at the end of the round-robin stage will be crowned champions.

Nepal are at the top of the table on nine points from three games while Bangladesh have six points. Bhutan are at the bottom of the table with zero points.

Nepal had defeated Bhutan 7-0 and Bangladesh 1-0 before today's match. Bangladesh have registered two big wins against Bhutan in the tournament previously.

Only Nepal and Bhutan are participating in the tournament alongside hosts Bangladesh.
