Manang Marshyangdi Club secured semifinal berth as they defeated Sahara Club 4-3 on penalties in the second quarterfinal match of 3rd Jhapa Gold Cup at Domalal Rajbanshi stadium, Birtamod on Tuesday.

The match ended at goalless draw in the regulation time to push it to spot-kick battle.

Anjan Bista was adjudged the man of the match.He received twenty five thousand rupees.

Hosts Jhapa XI will face United Sikkim FC in the third quarterfinal match tomorrow.

MMC will play against the winner of NPC Vs Nepal Army in the second semifinal match on Falgun 26.

Jhapa gold cup organzing committee is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 12,51,000.
