Nepal U-17 National Team have landed back in Kathmandu after competing in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers in Vietnam. The team arrived at the Tribhuwan International Airport at 9 PM on Tuesday night.

ANFA president Pankaj Bikram Nembang welcomed the team at Tribhuwan International Airport along with vice-president Birat Jung Shah, Dipak Khatiwada and EX-CO members Mahendra Chhetri, Rabindra Chand and Rupesh Adhikari.

The team, on their return to Nepal, were stranded at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia for 25 hours. The team landed in Malaysia on Monday afternoon and departed for Nepal only on Tuesday afternoon. ANFA did not make any proper arrangements for the team during transit hours. 

Nepal finished the qualifiers with three defeats in as many matches in Group F. Nepal were defeated 3-0 by Thailand, 5-0 by hosts Vietnam and 4-2 by Chinese Taipei. 

Vietnam qualified for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup from Group F. Neighbors India also secured their place in the tournament.
