Nepal Police Club has moved to the quarterfinals of 3rd Jhapa Gold Cup.

Inthe the second pre-quarterfinal match played at Domalal Rajbanshi stadium, Birtamod, Jhapa on Sunday, NPC defeated Rupandehi XI 1-0.

Rejin Subba scored the decisive goal in the 82nd minute.

Suman Lama was declared the man of the match. He was awarded with twenty five thousand rupees.

NPC First XI: Shatrughan Chaudhary(GK), Suman Lama, Nir Kumar Rai, Rejin Subba, Ravi Paswan, Hem Tamang(C), Tej Tamang, Buddha Lama, Ajit Bhandari, Dinesh Rajbanshi, Santosh Hemroon.

Rupandehi XI: Sojit Gurung(GK, C), Suraj BK, Aashish Gurung, Chiring, Bhim Darlami, Meshi, Gaurav Budhathoki, Ashok Thapa, Nishan Limbu, Jitesh Gurung, Amar Dangol.

Jhapa gold cup organizing committee is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 12,51,000.

Runners up team will get Rs 6 lakh.
