In order to prepare for the ninth National Games to be held in Pokhara from Ashoj 28th, Province 1 has started the women's football selections in the Regional Stadium of Itahari. In the first match, Taplejung defeated Tehrathum 6-0 and reached the second stage.

Anusha Limbu scored a goal in the seventh minute of the first half of the game for Taplejung, and Taplejung's captain Anusha Thebe scored a goal in the 17th and 30th minute to take the scoreline to 3-0.

Similarly, Taplejung managed to score three more goals in the second half. Reshma Thalang scored in the 14th minute of the second half and Shusma scored two more goals in the 17th and 28th minutes of the second period.

Sankhuwasabha defeated Okhaldhunga 2-0 in the second match under Province 1 qualification. Asmita Gurung scored in the 30th and 54th minutes of the game for Sankhuwasabha.

Four qualifying matches will be played tomorrow at Itahari Regional Stadium.
