The 2019 SAFF Women's Championship will feature the Pakistan Women's Football Team, as confirmed by Pakistan Football Federation. The competition will take place in Nepal from August 29 until September 10, 2022. 

All seven SAFF members will participate in the event now that Pakistan has confirmed its participation. For the first time in eight years, the Pakistan Women's Football Team will take part in an international competition. 

In order to give the teams more opportunities to compete internationally and to kick off regular domestic football activity in the nation, Pakistan Football Federation plans to take part in a number of men's and women's competitions later this year.

The FIFA Council Bureau decided to lift the suspension imposed on the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) in April 2021 due to undue third-party intervention on June 29, 2022.
