President candidate Karma Tsering Sherpa said that statement from suspended Ganesh Thapa about his candidacy was "unfortunate".

Organizing press meet in Kathmandu, Thapa had said that Sherpa's win at ANFA election would be disaster.

Talking to AP1 TV, Sherpa said that suspended Ganesh Thapa has no rights to make any comment about the election process.

"He is suspended from FIFA from taking part in any football related events. He is actively involved, which is against the ban and his statement on election process is unfortunate", Sherpa said.

He also challenged disgraced Thapa that he would work his best to surpass his achievement.

"If I am elected, we will work as a team. Not as a dictator. We will work our best to surpass his achievement of 20 years in just 22 months", he added.

Thapa publicly admitted that he was lobbying for his brother-in-law for the president post.

However, Mani Kunwar said that statement from Thapa was personal.
