News Rara FC Into The Semis Of Bhaluwa Gold Cup

Rara Football Club, Dhankuta has entered the semifinals of the eighth Bhaluwa Gold Cup Football Tournament. Rara entered the last four by defeating Church Boys United, Kathmandu 4-2 in the quarterfinals held on Thursday.

Church Boys took the lead in the 17th minute through a goal by Milan Rai. Nishan Limbu equalized for Rara in the 48th minute. Biren Chemjong added the second goal for Rara in the 52nd minute.

In the 76th minute, Shishir Lekhi scored the third goal for Rara. However, in the 82nd minute, Sanam Bhujel scored the second goal for the Church Boys and tried to get the team back in the game but was unsuccessful. Two minutes after the goal, Aashish Chemjong scored the fourth goal to secure Rara's victory.

Rara's Nishan Limbu was declared the player of the match. Ramesh Rauniyar, the chief guest of the game, rewarded him with Rs 5,000 in cash.

According to the organizers, the first semi-final match of the competition will be played between Avenir FC, Cameroon and Aurabani Youth Club, Sunsari on Friday.

The winner of the competition organized by Shree Golden Star Youth Club in association with Duhabi Municipality will get 3,00,000 rupees including the title and the runner-up will get 1,50,000 rupees.
