At the very start of the second half, Kuwait doubled the lead through Yousef Alsulaiman. A long ball from deep found Yousef who had made a run in behind and he finished the chance with ease. Yousef tripled the lead in the 70th minute off a brilliant counter attack. Bader Al-Mutwa found himself in a 2v1 situation and squared the ball to Yousef who finished the chance with ease.

Mobarak Al-Faneeni added another just three minutes later in yet another counter attack.

Darshan Gurung pulled one back for Nepal in the fourth minutes of the stoppage time but it was a too late to ignite a comeback for Nepal. This was Nepal's first goal against Kuwait in 40 years.
